The moment I opened this month’s Beautiful Box by Au Feminin I heard my 10-year old daughter squeal in delight behind me. « Can I have it please Mama? Please? » « Uhm sure », I replied, « but only the box. The stuff inside is mine. » « Well duh, Mom! » Then I saw the Panda. Oops, okay I understand now. LOL.
La Folie Douce aka Love Crazy – what is it exactly?? It’s so difficult to explain in words!
It’s hard to describe what it is, but the way I see it, it’s like the way I fell in love with my husband. Falling in love – some fall quick and hard, others get struck. The Hubby got struck and according to him, he knew he wanted me to be the mother of his future children. I took my time. I went along the crazy adventure, enjoyed every moment, and found a love I didn’t even think I deserved. When I saw the « Folie Douce » phrase on the shirt, I couldn’t help but think about that.
A friend recently asked me about the beauty boxes I receive monthly – Birchbox, Prescription Lab, and Beautiful Box – and which one I preferred. I tried to find the right words, but honestly it’s hard to choose one. It depends I guess. I’m usually pretty happy with the products I receive. The only times I am disappointed are when I get stuff that are really badly-rated on Yuka (click here on the post). That and when I receive things that don’t correspond to my profile. For example, I have really thick hair, so a volumizing hair product is really really not my cup of tea!
On March 19, we had the pleasure of having our first book club get-together in Metz. As I’ve mentioned in earlier posts (click here, here, and here), I am seriously into organizing English social events in Metz. It’s a great way to meet people, especially foreigners like us!
For the month of March, Emma & Chloé partnered with Audrey Langlois to come up with the Jonc Salomé. I looked online and found out that Audrey Langlois is in fact a jewelry designer based in Paris. Her designs are inspired by her travelling experiences. I checked out her website and there are many beautiful pieces (click here for the site).
What I love best about this bracelet is the fact that it’s so discrete, almost fragile and vulnerable. A nice thin touch of gold on my wrist.
Emma & Chloé x Audrey Langlois – March 2019 Jonc Salomé – worth: 39 Euros Matiere: laiton doré à l’or 750/1000ème Designé en France Price: 28.90 Euros (delivery fees included)

When I opened this month’s Prescription Lab box, I couldn’t help but think of Spring, which is a good sign since this was sort of their theme for this month. Objectif: Eclat, Gommage, et Hydratation après l’hiver (glow, scrub, and hydration after winter). This was huge step up from last month’s box (click here for the post).
Hey guys! Tell me – what do you think of Amazon Prime Video?
I was recently talking to some of my engineering trainees about series and a couple of them expressed how much they loved Netflix. Surprisingly, when I mentioned Prime Video a lot of them weren’t as enthused anymore. Then I suddenly remembered that in fact, I don’t even watch that many movies or series on Prime Video either. I paid the 49 Euros subscription fee to have the 1-day delivery advantage, but truthfully I didn’t even bother to check out the other advantages. Did you know there is also unlimited music and books? Yeah, apparently. 😯
For the month of March, Birchbox partnered with Comptoir des Cotonniers to give us this month’s « beauty box ». I use quotes because in fact, I was pleasantly surprised to find my beauty products in not one, but two beauty pouches!
Hello! I know I know, I’m late to post this, but in my defense the month of February is a short month! I received my Prescription Lab box about a week ago and I must admit I wasn’t very excited about its content. Mostly because I felt it wasn’t really adapted for me.
Hello! I can’t believe the month of February is almost coming to an end. I spent most of it in bed, but February always kinda feels that way every year. Like a flashhhh. Thankfully, the start of March also means that Spring is approaching.
