Chocolate Fudge Cake + Chocolate Ganache Frosting

It is currently 9 in the morning right now. After I finish writing this blog post, I will clean up the apartment a little. The husband isn’t working today and he’s going to pick up our new dining table chairs this morning. I’m so excited about that. It feels like our apartment is finally looking like the home we imagined. Yay!

I will share with you today a recipe for a Chocolate Fudge Cake and its Chocolate Ganache Frosting. This is the recipe I used to make Baby Girl’s birthday cake 2 days ago (click here for the post). Baby Girl isn’t a fan of the regular birthday cake, but she loves this Chocolate Fudge Cake! 🙂

Chocolate Fudge Cake

Ingredients:

  • 200g black chocolate
  • 100g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 50g flour
  • 100g powdered sugar

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

In a saucepan, melt the chocolate and the butter together on low heat. Make sure the butter and chocolate are in small pieces before melting.

In a bowl, add the sugar, eggs, and flour. Mix together.

Add the chocolate-butter mixture to the bowl. Mix well.

Grease a baking dish and pour your cake batter in.

Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.

Chocolate Ganache Frosting

Ingredients:

  • 200g black chocolate
  • 200ml cream

In a saucepan, add the cream and black chocolate (in small pieces) and heat on low heat. Stir continuously. Remove from the heat. Let it cool and set aside. When it thickens, you can use it to decorate your cake.

I’m not much of a cake decorator, but I tried my best! ;p
