As you know from my previous posts, I haven’t been feeling well. I thought I was getting better since yesterday, but as soon as I was done making dinner today I started feeling bad again. Greeeaaattt!!! 🙄🙄 Anyways, this post today isn’t about me, but the Husband.
A year ago, we welcomed the newest member of our family, Baby L. He is the first son of my niece and her husband. And he gave me the greatest pleasure of coming to the world on the eve of my birthday. It was the best birthday gift ever to know that he was here safely and his mother too!
Hey peeps! It’s my birthday today. Uh-uh, uh-uh!!!
My niece asked me how old I was and I answered her the age of Jesus when he died. She laughed at me and said – « Why is it that you can’t answer a simple question like everyone else? » Ha ha, maybe because I’m not like everyone else! I answered back to her.
Ok, I know I know. I screwed up the Blogmas! 😰 I totally didn’t write any post last week and I will admit that this challenge was just too high for me. I have no excuse except that I’ve been terribly busy.
Baby Girl turned 10 years old. 10 years old. I don’t know whether I want to cry or smile. Smile because somehow the Husband and I were able to make it 10 years in this challenging journey. We were just 22-23 years old when we became parents and shit-scared truthfully. And then I also want to cry. Cry because these past 10 years have flown by so quickly. Like a blink of an eye. When I think about it, 10 years from now she’ll be an adult, busy with her own adult responsibilities, living on her own … Sigh. Anyways, let’s just stop with these emotional / sentimental thoughts.
Hello guys. I love hosting lunch or dinner at home! What about you? What are some of the things that you like to do?
Last Sunday, August 13, I invited my sister, my brother-in-law, my niece, and her husband for lunch at our house to celebrate together Baby Girl’s birthday. I also invited my nephew, but he decided at the last minute to go to Bruxelles to visit his girlfriend. A fool in love. LOL.
It is currently 9 in the morning right now. After I finish writing this blog post, I will clean up the apartment a little. The husband isn’t working today and he’s going to pick up our new dining table chairs this morning. I’m so excited about that. It feels like our apartment is finally looking like the home we imagined. Yay!
HELLO!!! Today is Baby Girl’s 9th birthday and I’m so excited! 🙂 🙂 🙂
I can’t believe that 9 years ago I was trying to push a 7.1 pounds baby out of me (sorry for the image!). I ended up getting an emergency C-section. Those 11 hours spent in labor represent the most terrifying experience of my life. Inside of me, I knew that it was going to be complicated and at one point I informed the doctor that if there was a choice between the baby or me, she should save the baby.
Today we celebrated our daughter’s birthday with her friends. It isn’t baby girl’s actual birthday (yeah, I still call my 9 year old baby girl lol) – that’s 1 month from now. It isn’t really easy to celebrate a birthday in the middle of the summer break. Sure, the weather is great for outdoor activities, but it’s a challenge to find friends who are home for the break.
