Sadly, I haven’t been eating out for a while. It’s a pity though because I love eating out! But I haven’t had time, work was in the way, or a question of budget too! Anyways, I was having a quick drink with friends after work the other evening when I walked by the restaurant, L’Eveil in Metz, France. I was in a hurry to go home to be with Baby Girl, but I couldn’t help but think about the time we had dinner there.
Same time last year, the Husband and I had lunch for the first and only time at the Korean-Japanese restaurant, Arita in Metz, France. I’d love to say that the Husband and I are as happy as we were in May 2017, but I’m not so sure anymore. After spending a couple of days together this week, with no fights, we had a major one this morning which ended in tears. The worst part was Baby Girl storming to her room in tears asking for me to comfort her. Talk about ending the week with a bang! The Husband and I argue all the time, but lately when we fight, the words are quite violent. I hate it, but I don’t know what to do.
As a teenage girl, one of my weekend activity was « malling with my friends ». As we got older, we preferred going on road trips, going to the beach, and having parties, but I’ll never forget that part of my life where I would get all excited about meeting my friends (and boys …. ssshh!) at the mall. It’s funny because we wouldn’t even shop for stuff, we just liked walking in circles around the mall. Oh and the drama – we loved that a lot too!
It seems that aside from spending major time with family, our stay in Qatar was also about eating, eating, and more eating!!! Fortunately for us, that’s not a bad thing at all! ;p
If there’s one thing I like doing on the weekend (aside from spending time with my family) is going out for dinner with my friend V. In the past 6 months, we’ve tried going out at least once a month, just the two of us.
Hello! I hope you’re having a good week.
For my part, I had a disastrous day yesterday. It started so well though! The husband worked the early morning shift yesterday. and did the cutest thing for me. He knows that the first thing I do when I get out of bed is to go to the bathroom. When I was in the bathroom, he stuck a note on the wall « proceed to the dining table ».
Back in April, the husband and I decided to try out the restaurant, Maison Baci, in Metz. Baby girl was on her spring break and was staying the week with my niece. The husband and I took advantage of that time to try out different places. Some of which I actually blogged about on Dinner at Six Thirty. I think I’ll transfer some of these posts here when I have the time.
