Winter Recap 2018 -2019

O’ Soeurs Saveurs Tea Room

A couple of days ago we officially said goodbye to the winter and greeted spring. I say officially because with the weird climate changes we’ve had lately, the season has no indication to the weather. In other words, I’m not gonna pack my winter sweaters yet. Anyways, I just wanted to do a little recap of the past 3 months. On days I feel down, I like to go through my Instagram photos and then it hits me « as imperfect as my life is, it’s still a pretty good one ». I thought I would do something like that here.

Winter usually rhymes with the school Christmas holiday. This is marked by a school event with student’s presentation, games, and a Christmas mini-market.

While Baby Girl was out of school for the Christmas break, I still had a couple of days of work left. I love this period as I can usually take at least 7 days straight off of work.

We celebrated Christmas with my French family in the countryside this year (click here for the link).

The weather wasn’t too bad. We were spared from very cold temperatures. Some mornings we were greeted with fog ….

…. and others with snow!

After 2 weeks staying in the countryside with her cousin, Baby Girl was back to her usual « take my photo, Mom, take my photo! »

We definitely ate our way through the winter season!

Beautiful (and delicious) Seafood Platter prepared by my half-sister and my brother-in-law.

Starbucks finally opened in Metz!! Finally!

We had a fun and heartwarming reunion with friends of ours that currently live in Dubai at the moment. S cooked Bistek Tagalog for us. Yum!!

On January 21, it was the Husband’s 35th birthday.

The only trip we took this Winter was to Paris. It was almost at the end of the season so it wasn’t as cold anymore thankfully. Paris is always a good idea.

That’s me!

I can’t wait to do the Spring version now!
