Thermomix TM5

Hey, you! 🌞🌞

Let me introduce you to my Thermomix TM5. I’ve had it for 2 years now and I can say that it’s been really useful!

The Thermomix is an advanced kitchen appliance, which does pretty much almost anything you need. It cooks, stews, boils, steams, blends, whisks, kneads, and etc … Click here for the link. It is made by the Vorwerk Corporate group.

The Thermomix TM5 came with a bunch of accessories as well as a cooking book and a recipe chip.

I bought mine for about 1,200 Euros, which is quite pricey and honestly a turn-off to some people. Moreover, it is bulky so it takes space on your kitchen counter. I’ve had to change its place a couple of times and I’m not quite sure if I like where it is now in fact.

But … the advantage I find about using my Thermomix is that it helps me save and organize my time.

Here’s how a regular day looks like:

I generally work from 8AM-5PM (it depends on the day). At 5:15PM, I pick up my daughter from school. We go home – sometimes by bus, sometimes by car. We are usually home at 6PM. Then, it’s time for homework and preparing dinner. I tell Baby Girl to settle down on the dining table, take out her books, and start doing what she needs to do. At the same time, I prepare the ingredients for dinner. Let’s say, a Mushroom Risotto. I put everything in the Thermomix (screen panel tells me I have 25 minutes), I help my daughter with her school work, while the food is being cooked. Then, ding! !! Food is ready – I just have to transfer it on our plates.

Yes, it’s that easy! ?

Unfortunately, my Thermomix broke down 8 months ago. Something was wrong with the scale. I was devastated! How could my Thermomix do this to me considering the high price I paid for it. I called the After-Sales Department, who informed me that I would need to send the appliance to them, wait for a couple of weeks for them to diagnose the problem and change the broken parts, and then they would send it back to me. Everything was free of charge and as promised, my Thermomix was returned to me repaired and in one piece 3 weeks later.
