Hey, you! 🤪

Before anything, let me clear out something, especially for the readers who are not from the Philippines.

Cebu represents 3 things. Cebu - the province, Cebu - the island, and Cebu - the city.

Please don't ask me why, it's just the way it is. Go figure. LOL.

Anyways ....

Our first night at Waterfront Hotel Mactan was a really short one. We checked-in at around 2:30am. It was actually my sister-in-law and brother-in-law's hotel room, but they had to check out at 2am to take their flight to Bicol (we didn't even get to see them, sad!). We requested to take over and use the room (it was fully paid for!) and the hotel kindly accepted. I'm not too sure if other hotels would have.

The first thing we did upon arrival was take a much-needed shower. At that point, we travelling for almost like 48 hours. We slept right after the shower and woke up at around 9am. Jet lag isn't much of a thing when we travel east. It's travelling west that's tough. Maybe the adrenaline and excitement of being back home helped with the jet lag too.

I can't say much about our stay at Waterfront Hotel Mactan considering how short it was. But from what I've seen, I can say that I'm a bit shocked by how run-down it is. It smelled of old wood, like in an abandoned house - kinda makes me think that it hasn't had any renovations done in a while. It's great as a transit hotel I guess because of the proximity to the airport, but I wonder how busy it gets.

We could have had breakfast at the hotel, but I saw that the hotel was right across the domestic departure area of the airport and one particular place was calling out my name.

So we quickly checked out , left our bags at the hotel concierge, and made our way to the airport.

Soooooo can you guess the place??

JOLLIBEE!!

The love Filipinos have for Jollibee is not purely local pride - it is in my opinion, hands-down, the best fastfood place in the entire world. Call me biased if you will, but it doesn't change the fact that it's freakin' true!

I thought I would write about it here, but mannnnn it deserves its own post. It just does. LOL. Drama much? Maybe.

What's your favorite fastfood place?

xoxo Elodie
