Hey, you! I've officially joined the Dalgona Coffee bandwagon and love it! Admittedly, when I see something repeatedly on social network. Something that looks amazingly good, well, I can't help but try it out for myself. I'm a very curious and opinionated person. I was raised that way by my father. Growing up, he would always encourage me to form an opinion about everything. He encouraged to speak my mind. To be someone interesting to talk to. But that doesn't mean I'm arrogant. I like to discuss with others. I listen to the opinions of others and I allow myself to be corrected if I am wrong.
Anyways, going back to the famous Dalgona Coffee.... have you tried it already? What did you think? I was surprised to see the frothy outcome, but I understand now. It's actually the instant coffee that does that. I personally prefer to use the hand mixer because good ol' me is too lazy to manually whisk the coffee-sugar-water mixture. 😂😂 I guess in my mind I am sure to get the desired result with the hand mixer.
I've used the 2:2:2 tablespoon hot water, sugar, and instant coffee ratio. A friend of mine tried to reduce to 1:1:1 but apparently it didn't work.
Dalgona Coffee
Ingredients:
2 tbsp hot water
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp instant coffee
Milk
Chocolate powder (optional)
Hand Mixer
Directions:
1. In a bowl, add the water, sugar, and coffee.
2. Using a hand mixer, whisk for at least 3-5 minutes. The result will be a light brown coffee froth.
3. In glass, pour your milk of choice (warm, room temperature, or cold). Spoon a good amount of the coffee froth.
4. As finishing touch, I like to sprinkle with chocolate powder.
