Guess what? We finally had a store in our city that sold Filipino products amongst other Asian products, but unfortunately they decided to close down a few months again. They do deliveries, but from experience, it isn't that great. As much as the owner is very nice, he messed up my order and when I ordered he didn't tell me that some of the things were out of stock until delivery day. I didn't think that was cool. Anyways, they didn't have a lot of products so I still had to find a plan b, which I did!
Pinoy Services is a physical store located in Paris, but thankfully they also deliver. It seems though that they don't deliver everything that's in their physical store, but that's ok I guess.
Hopefully, we'll be able to visit their store in Paris someday. In the meantime, I'm happy to be able to shop on their website.
Seeing that this was my first time to order from them, I didn't want to spend a lot of money. I had very specific things I wanted to buy, for example Filipino Tomato Sauce because I wanted to make Filipino Spaghetti for my husband's birthday. That meant that I also needed Banana Catsup, which thankfully they also had.
Everything I wanted was available. Toyomansi for Lechon Liempo, Tomato Sauce and Banana Catsup for the Filipino Spaghetti, and Soy Sauce because it's always in my pantry. I can actually find Sinigang Powder in my city, but since it was available I figured I would buy it.
As you can see on the photo above, it costs 9 Euros for delivery at home or a pick-up place. I'm not sure if it depends on the weight of the package or not. I will try to find out next month because I will most probably order again and get more things this time.
By the way, payment is via Paypal or Bank Transfer only.
I ordered online on Friday, January 12. I was afraid because by Wednesday, January 17 I hadn't heard anything from them nor was the account updated online. Since I needed the ingredients before the weekend, I gave them a phone call to ask what was up. Thankfully, they were very nice and accommodating. They informed me that the package was going out that day and that they didn't have time to update our account. She assured me that it would arrive before the weekend.
On Friday, January 19, a week after I ordered, I received my package. It was very well secured with bubble wrap, sometimes wrapped twice with small bubble wrap and large bubble wrap. It was perfect especially because the banana catsup and toyomansi are in glass bottles.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with my online order experience on Pinoy Services Paris. I highly recommend it and I hope they will add even more products in the future.
