Hey, you! 😊
Raise your hand if you looooooove garlic! ✋✋
If you don't, then you might not like this recipe (or ... it might change your mind).
But if you do, then you will definitely love this because Pollo al Ajillo equals chicken + garlic. The recipe asks for a loooot of garlic, but trust me, it's all worth it!
By the way, this is a Thermomix recipe. I could probably make it the "traditional" way, but I made it for the first time using the thermomix and it worked. Not a single one of us was left unimpressed - we all oohed and aahed. So why change a winning team, right?
Pollo al Ajillo | Thermomix Recipe
14 cloves of garlic
50g olive oil
100g white wine
1 cube chicken broth
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp salt
Add 50g of olive oil in the Thermomix and cook for 8 minutes / Varoma / Speed 1.
Add 6 peeled whole garlic cloves in the Thermomix and mix 5 seconds / Speed 5.
Cook 3 minutes / Varoma / Speed 1.
Add the stirring attachment.
Add 1000g of chicken (wings or thighs positioned vertically), 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. dried oregano, 100g white wine, 80g water, 1 cube chicken broth, and 8 peeled garlic cloves in the Thermomix. Cook 30 minutes / Varoma / Reverse soft speed.
Transfer everything to a baking dish.
If desired, grill in the oven for 5-10 minutes. --> I highly recommend this step!
