Hey, you! 🍅
Without a doubt, my love for cooking comes from my parents. It's no wonder that I grew up to be a foodie because my parents were themselves foodies, even before that word was created and used! My mom loved cooking Asian dishes, especially Filipino cuisine. Pochero, Fish Paksiw, Utan Bisaya... My father loved cooking French dishes. Pot au Feu, Crepes, Poisson en Papillote, and .... Tomates Farcies.
When I was younger, I would naturally find my way to the kitchen to them. My dad would make me peel the potatoes and prep the vegetables, while my mom wouldn't let me touch a thing - I was her little princess and she didn't want me to hurt myself. Hihihi... 👸
Years later, when I became a wife and a mother I realised that cooking is my love language. It is an act of service - something that is created to be shared with love and loved ones. ❤️ ❤️❤️
