Last Saturday, the Husband and I decided to go to the store, Action. I honestly do not remember the last time I was there, but it was definitely more than 3 months ago! I like shopping at Action mainly because of their prices. Some of the things that I would usually get at the regular supermarket I can buy at Action for sometimes 1, 2, or even 3€ cheaper! It's definitely a steal!
For example, The Finish Powerball dishwasher tablet costs 3.69€ for 26 tabs at Action, while in a regular supermarket it almost costs 7€ for 30 tabs!
Anyways, the Husband and I got there at 9am opening time last Saturday. They were a bit late, so people were getting frustrated and anxious while waiting in line. We were not required to wear masks, but they provided us with hand gel to wash our hands and we had to get a shopping cart each. The Husband was a bit puzzled by that because he obviously didn't need a cart, but I think that's how they manage and control the number of people that are in the store at one time.
I really wanted to go to Action that morning to pick up some home cleaning essentials, notably the dishwasher tabs. I haven't made the switch to homemade cleaning essentials yet, but why not someday. I guess that could be something I would be interested in. I do have a great all-purpose-cleaning spray that I make myself, but when I saw that they were selling cleaning vinegar, I picked one bottle up. My homemade all-purpose cleaning spray is also made with vinegar and lemon, but my problem is that I can't find a good spray bottle. All the bottles I've used have only lasted a month at most before breaking!! Eventually, I would like to buy something more robust and made in glass.
You will see in the video (and photo) above the things we ended up buying and some of the things I thought were cute and interesting. Action really does have cheap and okay-quality products worth checking out! Also regarding the cleaning wipes I bought - I'm not a fan. Obviously for environmental reasons, but honestly during this pandemic I was thankful to have an extra stash I hid in my cleaning basket. I thought I would have one on-hand just in case.
