Gift Ideas 2024 🎁

Updated: Jan 7

Hey, you! 😊

It's almost the New Year which means that, among other things, my husband, my daughter, and I will be preparing our wishlist for 2024. As a person with control issues, I'm not a fan of surprises. Haha. And as we get older, the Husband and I don't really like accumulating things we don't need or want at home anymore so the idea of making a wishlist seemed like a good one when I mentioned it a few years ago. Moreover, the Husband prefers it that way too because he's not the best gift giver. Sorry honey! 🤭 Actually, he does give nice gifts, but he gives gifts he likes and not gifts he thinks the receiver will like. So with the wishlist, he knows exactly what I like. Haha.

Anyways ...

These are both gifts we have given and gifts that we're given to us.

I love this brand and through the years I have owned a few of their bags. Although this one is small, it's easy to store everything you need. It is both practical and attractive! 👍

3 Leaves Bookmarks :

These are really pretty! I kept one for me, one for a close friend, and the third for my sister. 🥰

Shooting Game :

My 6-year old little nephew loved this toy! Surprisingly (not surprisingly), so did the men in the family! 😆

A classic - this never gets old! 👌

LED Flashlight Gloves :

I thought this would be a cool and practical gift for my nephew who is always working on DIY projects at home and at the farm. I haven't had a feedback from him yet, but he was pretty excited when he opened his gift! 🤟

Playdoh Ice Cream Truck :

I have wanted to buy this gift for my little niece ever since I saw it the first time! She was too young last year, but now that she's 3, I thought it would right for her. I wasn't wrong. She has a lot of fun creating ice cream of all shapes and colors and then "selling" them. 🍨

Marmiton 100% Chocolate Recipe Book :

This was part of a gift basket I got a friend. She loves baking and most importantly, chocolate (like me!). So I thought a nice little gift basket with baking essentials and a 100% chocolate cookbook would be perfect for her. 🍪

Tabasco Hot Sauce Set :

I saw this and I immediately thought of a friend of mine who loves hot sauce. I once gave him a bottle of Korean hot sauce which was just too spicy for me and he loved it. I hope he likes this too. Obviously I've tried the original one, Pepper Sauce, and I love it. I've also tried the Green Pepper Sauce and I liked it too. But I'm so curious about the Scorpion Sauce! Maybe I should get this for me too. 🌶

Les Gens Heureux Lisent et Boivent du Café :

One year, my new year resolution was to read one French book per month and I remember looking for this author because I had heard a lot about her. I loved this book and read a few more of her books. I think I might even have written a book review here. Lemme check. Oh yeah I did - here it is: click here. By the way, I gave this to my sister and two other books and a bookmark.

La vie est facile, ne t'inquiète pas :

This was the second book I got my sister and the sequel of the book I posted before this one.

Frozen Elsa Styling Head :

There's not a little girl I know who doesn't like Frozen and Hair Styling so this is always a big hit! 🤩

Bento Lunch Box :

This isn't a gift - I actually bought this for my daughter when she asked if she could bring food to school. But, if I had a friend who brings a lunch box to work, I would probably give her a cute and practical bento like this one for sure. 😊

Harmony by Whitney Hanson :

A collection of beautiful poems to find peace for a beautiful person ❤️

I feel like this was THE gift of Christmas 2023. A lot of people I know received this and I've given this to a few people - that's how good the scent smells! Givré translates to frosted and that's exactly what I thought when I first smelled it. Frosted Lychée!

Geneva by Richard Armitage :

I got this from a friend and I couldn't be more excited to read it! In fact, I suggested it to my book club group. Fingers crossed it might be our April book. I love the actor, so I have high hopes, although I know it's not good to overexpect!

Puzzles are always a good idea. So when I saw this, I thought of my brother-in-law. Not only is it made locally, it's a puzzle of a local landmark. They also have other interesting choices, but I thought he would really love the Citadelle.

Anyways, I love looking at Christmas / Gift Lists every year. I always find great ideas and so I hope it does the same for you.

Do you think I should share my wishlist here? 😊
