Hey, you! I hope you’re having a good weekend. 😊
For my part, I am having an excellent weekend. Baby girl came back home from her vacation on Friday. We went to McDonald’s that evening to have dinner and to chat. I was all over her, giving her kisses and telling her how much I love her. The husband isn’t working this weekend so yesterday, we went shopping for home stuff. I think I’ll write a blog post about our home soon. And right now, it is Sunday morning, the 6th of August. The husband is assembling the furniture we bought yesterday. It is French rule that you can only make noise (like drilling and etc ..) on Sundays from 10:00AM-12:00 Noon. Baby girl and I are sitting at the dining table. She’s working on her cahier d’activités and I am blogging. Life is good! 😊
In the past months, I’ve been receiving and buying more and more beauty products. As much as I want to open and try everything at once, I’ve decided to set aside the products until it is the right time to open them. At 30 years old, I have no more excuse to act like a kid anymore. Self-control. LOL.
I received the Deliwash Haircare from Elgonin my last Glossy Box. I was running out of shampoo, so this was the perfect timing to open this one.
I truly wanted to like this, especially because the reviews online were so positive. But the first time I used it, it was a disaster! I didn’t give up though.
So to make this clear, I have black Asian hair. It is naturally oily, really thick, and at the moment long. I usually wash my hair every other day. After the first use, my hair was oily to the touch, but also looked oily! Eeek … I looked like I didn’t wash my hair at all!
But like I said, I didn’t give up. Apparently, this haircare is revolutionary. It feels like a conditioner, but it actually is a new concept which replaces the shampoo and conditioner. It actually feels more like a conditioner to the touch and on the hair and it doesn’t foam like a regular shampoo does. So, the next day, I decided to use this haircare once again. I decided to spend more rinsing time for good measure, but the result was the same. I had really oily hair, which was not nice to touch, and worst, the husband looked at me and said, « Wait, you didn’t wash your hair today? » Plus, my scalp was really itchy the whole day. Great … grrr.
But I didn’t give up. On the third day, I washed my hair again. I spent about 20 minutes to rinse my hair and even used a comb to do so. Want to know the result? About the same – oily, itchy, unpleasant.
I washed my hair for the fourth day straight and again, I was disappointed. I finally accepted that while many people like Elgon’s Deliwash, this product just wasn’t for me and my hair.
What about you? Do you know this product? What do you think of it?
